The Iberians, specifically the tribe of the Ircarcavones, inhabited, among others, the area of Terra Alta where we find the Iberian site of Coll del Moro in the municipality of Gandesa and consisting of a village and a necropolis.
Recently, some excavations have brought to light the oldest tank in Catalonia. It is estimated that it is from the third century BC. This affair shows us the long tradition of the people of Terra Alta in elaboration of wines.
The guide of the Tourist Office from Gandesa will make a visit discovering the most well-kept secrets of the town and its necropolis. Next, we will enjoy a wine tasting, commented by ViOrigen, who will highlight and value the native varieties of the area, such as White Grenache, Red and Velvet Grenache, Carignan and Morenillo.
