To finish off the wine year 2013-2014 ViOrigen proposes two special activities to enjoy what we have nearby.

On Saturday August 23, ViOrigen present Wine & History. An act which will consist of a tour of the historic Gandesa (twelfth century – nineteenth century) commented by the local historian Mr. Anton Monner. On this visit we review the major events that marked the history of Gandesa from Reconquista to the Carlist Wars. The event will end with a wine tasting of several local wineries. For the occasion, we can taste several wines that mean an homage to the history of the town: El Templari (Celler Bàrbara Forés), Set Sitis (Germans Balart) and Ranci (Celler Cooperatiu Gandesa).

And to close the month on Saturday August 30, ViOrigen organizes Wine & Nature activity in the village of Benifallet. The event will include a guided tour to the caves of Benifallet, a spectacle of nature where the power of water and time have carved a great work of art. Finally, enjoy a wine tasting from Sant Josep Vins winery from Bot in the presence of Jaume Martí, director of marketing for the winery. This tasting will include the following wines: Clot d’Encís blanc 2013, Llàgrimes of Tardor blanc 2010, Clot d’Encís negre 2013 and Plana d’en Fonoll negre 2013.
