On Saturday August 29th ViOrigen with the cooperation and participation of the theater group “La Farsa” organize a theatrical route to discover in an original way the important fact that occurred in mediaeval Gandesa: the royal wedding which was held on October 17th 1319, between Infant Jaime of Aragon and Anjou, heir to the Catalano-Aragonese Crown, with Infanta Leonor of Castile and Portugal. Once fulfilled the commitment of betrothal, amid the surprise of the audience, the infant Jaime left the Church of the Assumption of Gandesa hastily fled, leaving the Castile Infanta in the altar.

The activity will start at 7:00 p.m. in the ComerçSquare in Gandesa. From there we will visit some of the places where the events of the hand of some actors of the theater group “La Farça”. The characters from medieval times will explain the historical events that occurred during the royal wedding.

The event will end with a tasting of three renowned wines of three different wineries from Gandesa:

While we taste the wines we will serve “coca de recapte” from Pujol bakery.
