On Saturday 24th January, ViOrigen in collaboration with the winery Celler Cooperatiu of Gandesa and the Center for the Study of the Battle of the Ebro organizes an activity centered on the history of Celler Cooperatiu of Gandesa. Specifically, the theme of the activity will be the events during the Battle of the Ebro (July 25 – November 16, 1938) that affected the production of this winery located in the heart of the battle and so important to the local economy.
The event will begin with a visit to the Center of Studies of the Battle of the Ebro (CEBE) located in Gandesa. The visit to CEBE serve as introduction to the historical context of the Battle of the Ebro through all available material exposed.
Then we move to the winery Celler Cooperatiu Gandesa where through a tour we discover how the events during the Battle in the production of grapes in the field and wine at the winery affected. We will end with a guided tasting of three of the most representative wines of this winery: Somdinou blanc criança 2009, Somdinou negre jove 2013 and Ranci 1919.
